I will be visiting the Forest of Dean Stone Firms quarry on Wednesday morning to start my search for the right piece of stone for the War memorial.
I will take some photos while I am there but it might take some time to find the right piece.

Have a go at stone carving is on today (5th August) in my studio from 10.30 - 12.30 and 13.45 - 16.30. It costs just £15 and you get to carve a roughly 4 inch square piece of limestone from Tetbury, which you can take home with you.
