Sculptures for sale

1 January, 2010 – 7:54 pm

I carried out a degree at Christ Church in Canterbury, Kent. I concentrated my studies on portaiture and figurative sculpture.

This is what I am developing in my stonecarvings and I am influenced by the Art Nouveau Period. This incorporates nature and the beauty of the female form.

Barbara Hepworth , Jacob Epstein, Eric Gill, Maillol, Rodin among others are also an influence on my work.

I am planning on creating some new and larger figurative carvings, as well as continuing my exploration into the difficulties of carving intricate figures on a small scale.

Please have a look at my gallery to give you an idea of my work. If you can come and visit me at my new premises in Brockworth I would love to discuss my work with you.

At the moment the main gallery at the craft centre is not ready, therefore all my stone carvings for sale will be on display in my workshop. I also carve giftware, bowls, tealight holders, small ornamental carvings. Prices range from £10 for the smaller items to £6800 for my largest figurative carving-Pins and Needles.
