Progress on the War memorial
6 September, 2020 – 5:03 pmSorry that it has been so long since my last update, I have been working very hard on the war memorial.
Here are a few photos from the last 4 weeks showing the developing carving and where I am as of today.
I still have some work to do on the drawing of the soldier before I can start the carving. His face will be George Hyett, I made a clay portrait from the photo of him so that I had a 3D model to work from.
There are also some more poppies to draw on and carve but I want to finish the rest of the carving first.
