Carving a Green Man

26 September, 2011 – 2:47 pm

Well Here is a short post on carving a simple Green man.

I have used my favourite stone, Tetbury limestone from Veizeys Quarry.

I cut it into an octagon and then drew on the design!

As you can see from the photos, I have gone all around the outside of the leaves and then cut down, cut the depth for the eyes and then repeated the process untill I can start to add finesse to the forms!

This took about 6hrs, it is 7.5×7.5×3 inches and could be mounted onto or built into a wall. It costs £125.
